Day 1 - Arrival to Amman, City tour
Meet & Assist at Queen Alia International Airport, transfer to the hotel in Amman, then city tour to visit, Amman roman amphitheater, the citadel and the Umayyad Palace, Old and new parts of Amman, Overnight at hotel in Mena Tyche Hotel in Amman.

Day 2 - Lunch and swim Deadsea
Breakfast and then transfer to the DeadSea which is the lowest point on earth; where you can float and enjoy the healing minerals of the super salty water and the beautiful landscape. And then transfer back to the hotel, overnight at Mena Tyche hotel in Amman.

Day 3 - Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba
Breakfast at the hotel, Transfer to Petra to enjoy the Rose Red City of the Nabateans, , it is the most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction in Jordan, as it is one of the seven wonders of the world, and then transfer to the Magnificent Wadi Rum You can have an adventure trip in the dessert, you can enjoy the calmness of the empty spaces and explore the canyons you will take, take a two hours old jeeps tour and then transfer to Aqaba, overnight at Oryx Hotel in Aqaba.

Day 4 - Aqaba
You have a full day to enjoy will have a lot of time to enjoy the snorkeling, diving and the marine life. You can swim with beautiful sea turtles and dolphins and of course multi-colored fish. overnight at Oryx Hotel in Aqaba.

Day 5 - Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, and then Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport.

  Travel Tips


  Must carry

  • Casual trousers / jeans and T-shirts.
  • Walking shoes – there is a LOT of walking during the trip so comfortable shoes throughout is a must.
  • Any medications that you are taking – it is better to pack enough of this as you may not get the same brand in Jordan.
  • Sunscreen and Sun glasses.
  • Camera and enough memory both digital and personal!

  Do's and Don't's

  • Please keep your personal items with you at all times (except if locked in a safe in the hotel).
  • The water is safe to drink here but if you are still unsure you can buy bottled water.
  • Great things to buy – Dead Sea products, Local Souvenirs, Mosaic, Olives to name few..

  • The visa is upon arrival.

  • The local currency is the Jordanian Dinar, often referred to as the JD.
  • Jordan has fixed exchange rate for USD: 7 JD equals to 10 USD.
  • There are 1, 5, 10, 20, and 50 JD notes.
  • Currency can be exchanged at airports, major banks, exchange agencies, and most hotels.

  Time Zone

  • Jordan is 3.30 hours behind India time from October till March and 2.30 hours between March – October.

  Cellular and Mobile Phones

  • You can go to any local cell phone store and buy a prepaid local SIM card.
  • All incoming calls are free, regardless of where they originate.
  • Here are several local phone companies to choose from.
  • The international country code for Jordan is 962.
  • Emergency phone numbers: 199, 191.

  Etiquette

  • Etiquette is very important in Jordanian culture.
    • While Jordanians graciously tolerate behaviors from visitors that may not necessarily conform to their own standards of etiquette, you can show respect for Jordanian customs by following a few basic rules:
    • Stand when someone important, or another guest, enters the room.
    • Don’t engage in any conversation about sensitive or personal topics unless you know the person you’re talking to well.
    • Remove your shoes when visiting a mosque or a private house (unless you’re specifically told to keep them on).
    • Never interrupt someone praying.

  Immunizations

  • No vaccinations are required to enter Jordan.
  • Travelers with personal health issues should consult their physicians before traveling.
  • Medications should be carried in hand luggage along with passport, tickets, money, and other important belongings.

  Outlets

  • The electrical system in Jordan is based on 220 AC volts/50 cycles and requires two-pronged wall plugs, similar to ones found in parts of Europe.

  Smoking

  • Smoking is much more common in Jordan and smoke-free accommodation.
  • Smoking the traditional water pipe also known as hubbly bubbly, is an interesting experience that visitors can try in any coffeehouse and many restaurants.

Location


Jordan is generally a flat desert plateau, east and west, as the western edges of the Syrian and Ard As Sawwan deserts stretch across the land. In the west, the Great Rift Valley (high hills and mountains) separates the East and West Banks of the Jordan River. Significant bordering bodies of water include the Dead Sea, the Gulf of Aqaba and the Sea of Galilee.
